Going E-Marketing
Want to advertise more but don’t have a bigger budget? One great way to get your name out is with e-newsletters.
Printed and mailed newsletters are a great way to build customer knowledge about your products and services and confidence in your expertise. But with postage and printing, paper newsletters are expensive.
An e-newsletter costs just a fraction of a printed piece. All you need is information to offer, time to assemble a great looking newsletter and e-mail addresses so you can send the finished product to customers.
There are plenty of software products that can help you create a sharp e-newsletter. Microsoft’s Web site even has free downloads of newsletter templates already set-up in Word.
Because e-newsletters are highly targeted, you reach only those who are most likely to buy your product or service. Moreover, as the number of people you will reach will be far less than with a newspaper advertisement or broad direct mail piece, you will pay a fraction of the cost and get better results.
Want to really generate sales? Add a number of tire and/or service coupons to each newsletter issue and make sure each coupon has a clearly indicated expiration date. With a clear date by which to act, many customers will quickly make appointments. Be consistent and make sure to include coupons with each issue.
What else to include? How about a rundown on hot selling tires or new employees? Educate customers on vehicle services with short items explaining how and why, for example, disc pads need to be changed. Add some tire maintenance tips and fun car facts they might be interested in. Promote upcoming specials and sales, or announcement your dealership’s involvement in community projects and groups.
